My career has taken me down several different roads, and as a result I have a diverse set of talents. I have designed and written newsletters and blogs, wrote and edited articles for major publications, aided in the production of audiobooks and managed interns and fellow coworkers.

I began by designing the newsletter for the Lutheran Student Group at Yale in New Haven, CT during the summer of 2004 as an intern prior to graduating from Binghamton University of New York with my Honors B.A. that December. I moved back to New Haven and a few short months later I was hired full-time as a local reporter for The Shoreline Times, covering the towns of Madison and Guilford and writing both hard news and feature stories. In 2007, I became a full-time staff writer for Soundings, a boating magazine based in Essex, CT. There, I spoke to people all over the world and wrote about both the consumer and industry sides of boating. I won a few awards for my work, and also proofed and edited final copy before the magazine went to print.

In 2010, I entered the world of audiobooks as an audio proofreader for Tantor Media Inc. In 2014 I became a project leader at Tantor linking the proofing department with marketing; working on creative ways to make the most of our in-house talent. In Sewanee, TN I worked as a faculty technology coordinator at the University of the South, contributed a weekly column in the local Sewanee Mountain Messenger newspaper and wrote features for the university's alumni magazine.

In Hong Kong, I worked as a Communications Manager for Renaissance College; part of the English Schools Foundation (ESF) for four and a half years. I was responsible for sending App messages and the creation of school's eNewsletters; as well as taking photos of events and editing/writing/managing promotional content. I currently work full-time as a Content Developer for the Indiana University School of Public Health in Bloomington (SPH-B), and am a freelance writer for local periodical Bloom Magazine and EveryLibrary, a nationwide nonprofit advocating for literacy accessibility. I continue to contribute regular reviews for AudioFile Magazine; the premiere publication for the audiobook industry based in Portland, Maine.
